Programme note: “The story of Taikatie weaves its way through the strata of time on Pyynikinharju ridge, musing on the place of humans in nature and in history. We ask whether the progress of events is inevitable or whether we can influence it. Does nature win or does humanity win — or does anyone need to win at all? This immersive walk combines narration, music and sound design, tracing paths along the ridge amidst the environment where the creators of this piece have found their inspiration, bringing the work to life at its literal place of birth.”
